My wife and I usually visit the Klamath Falls area for a week or two for birding in December thru Feburary. My wife wants to know when the White Pelicans can be found at Clear Lake.

White Pelicans are usually as scarce as hen's teeth during the winter. If one or two remain, it probably has to do with an injury or disease. If you pose this question again just before you come here this winter, someone might know of a pelican that lingered through the winter, but that would take a bit of luck. White Pelicans are quite common from spring to fall at many locations in the basin. If you are here during that time, you can easily find them without having to leave Klamath Falls.
